01 / Essence
Fiscal infrastructure for autonomous commerce.
Two flows. One fiscal event.
02/Mark
Upper bar is payment evidence. Lower bar is fiscal evidence. The stagger is the bind: one record leading, the other completing. The mark is not a letter, not an invoice, not a checkmark.

03/Wordmark
Fiscal is 700. 402 is 300. No space, no hyphen, no superscript. The numerals are protocol-native — tabular, same cap-height, optically pulled into the stem of the l.

05/Spacing & size
Clear space around the mark is 1× bar height (x·2). Around the lockup, 0.75×. Below 16px, use the optical favicon. Below 120px lockup width, drop to mark-only.
06/Color
Brand is paper and ink. Blue is not a logo color. Blue is a system state: focus, live signal, selected protocol control. A visitor should remember Fiscal402 as black-on-paper.
Dark
Soft ink-black. Softened paper. No neon. Hierarchy unchanged.
07/Typography
IBM Plex Sans for infrastructure language. IBM Plex Mono for protocol data. Hierarchy comes from scale, weight, and whitespace — not color.
08/Grid
Layouts should resemble a specification, a ledger, or a protocol inspector. Hairlines, columns, structured whitespace. Not a decorative cyber grid.
Page max 76rem. Copy max 42rem. Bind-rule is the only recurring motif besides the mark.
09/Protocol language
Labels are muted, uppercase, tracked. Values are ink, mono, tabular. States are system chips — not marketing badges.
10/Receipt system
fiscal402.receipt is a visual primitive, not only JSON. The object should be as recognizable as the mark.

VERIFIED11/Motion
Separate evidence → convergence → binding → verified event. Computational, not theatrical. 1.2–1.6s intro. 250–350ms UI. Reduced motion: static mark.
No bounce, overshoot, 3D, glow, particles, or generic logo reveal.
12/Iconography
Square terminals. 1.5px stroke. The mark angle is not forced into every glyph.

14/Misuse
The identity is a standard, not a kit of parts. If it has to be decorated to work, it is being used wrong.

Notes
Two bars will always echo an equals sign at a glance. Distinctiveness lives in the 2:3 rise, the lead/follow stagger, the tight bind, and the bind-rule as a second signature. Do not solve that by adding a third shape.
